Although, the comic did have a lot of close ups which effected its flow.

Wow... this was rough but very powerful. It left me with an overwhelming sense of sadness and loneliness. I especially love the imagery you used with the hands and of being underwater. I had the impression he was drowning emotionally.

You really need to try and do more of these. I found myself getting pulled out of the story once or twice, but other than that it was brilliant.

This was lovely. There were a lot of moments here which were so powerful, to the point that I was convinced that this story is based on some truth (which is quite sad, and I hope my speculations are incorrect).

My only concern is that I felt that the art could have been a little more consistent; the sketchy coloring that you adapted here was beautiful and it helped the story tremendously, but a few times it became a little sloppy. Perhaps more variation in line widths and more pressure sensitivity too?

I hope I didn't come off as snobbish by saying that, because really, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Also, congratulations on MICC!!! It was very deserved~

Deep, really great comic.
It's interesting, you only see the point of view of Zak and Hiroyuki, and you get hints of the father's and the mother's. His view is twisted because he only remembers his mother for the bad things, never the good she has done. It makes you think about depression and pressure and points of view. the mother could have actually changed. It is also interesting to see how everyone's perspective is so warped, other than possibly Zak's.
I love this comic.
